Wow, what can I say...I came here Friday morning to pick up an order for an event at the bakery and let me tell you the bakery smelled amazing! Baked goodies were nicely stacked in an enclosed area and fresh out the oven pastries were being stocked. Store was clean, organized, loved the colorful vibe and music while workers greeted customers as they came in to buy groceries. I've been coming to this store since it first opened and it never disappoints. I noticed some of the staff workers are still there and to me that speaks volumes and shows it's a great family workplace environment. They have specialty Latino items that you can't find elsewhere like at a Walmart/Safeway/Raley's and their prices are reasonable if not cheaper on some items. I have also shopped at their Woodland and S. Sac store. I've even brought my Puerto Rican mother in law and was impressed with the quality of produce was and the meat dept. I will continue coming back. Also the baked pastries were delish, everyone at the event loved it!
This is our go to Mexican Market in Sacramento. The workers are helpful and friendly. They have everything I need from the bakery to produce. I love the marinated meat. Totally love this market!!!
La Superior might be that market that you drive by, and not give them a second thought. Don't. It's a gem of a find. It's a wonderful authentic ethnic style market that has just about everything you might be looking for. I plan on trying my hand at mole sauce, and their selection of peppers is amazing. The price point is easier on your wallet too! They have a fabulously huge meat counter featuring cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and much more. The seafood counter will leave you wondering how much can you eat ?!? Just so much good " stuff". Feeling hungry? They have a taqueria inside too! Huge menu with awesome offerings. Don't miss out on the produce section. Fruits, veggies, and all the herbs you might want. Local market. Lots to discover. Worth the effort to check them out.
